Welcome to our Blogspot!!
Hello, our names are David and Caleb and since we have been reading about people in poverty we would like to try and help out, so tell all your friends about our website and it might just make a difference in our global village. Because, everything, even the smallest, most insignificant thing counts.
Brothers!!!
Helping us the solve problem of world poverty is a good friend of ours, Daniel, who has a website of his own. So we are teaming up to try and stop it. His website is:
We hope that you will join us in our cause.
Water
Water, one of the five basic needs, and one of the most important one too. A middle aged female should drink about 6-9 glasses a day of clean water. Males should drink from 8-12 glasses a day and do you know how much some people drink. NONE! From children to adults they could drink nothing in one day. So drink your 6-9 or 8-12 and think of how lucky you are to be in the 75 people in the global village that drink clean, fresh water. Now think of the 25 people who drink dirty, polluted water and how you could help by.
-biking or busing
- use smaller cars to go to work
-recycle
-Try and get involved in your local garbage pick
-Try and raise money towards people in need

Air
In the global village, pollution is stating to get to the world. The pollution caused by cars is affecting what people breathe, which can lead to them inhaling diseases. In the global village 1/3 of people breathe dirty air.

Food in the Global Village
Did you know, that even with 3rd world countries, there's enough food to go around... we just need to share a bit more.
If the world had only 100 people in it, only 30 people would always have enough to eat! 20 other people are severely malnourished and 50 people only have enough food to last for a while. Astounding numbers.

Money
Did you know that there's enough money in the global village for everyone to have enough to live in the global village. If everyone got their money divided equally, everyone would get roughly $4500; which is roughly the amount that's needed to live in the global village. But instead, the 20 rich
est people are paid $9000 a year. Whereas the 20 poorest people get less than a dollar a day. Then 60 people are somewhere in between. It astounds the mind to think that if we shared a bit more, there would be way less poverty.
There's no knowing what exactly poverty is, I'm still trying to figure that out myself.

Up coming events
The kids of Gordon Head Middle School in Mr. DeMedieros class will be performing a classic tale written by one of the greatest playwrites ever, Shakespear. The plays will be performed on June 19th and 20th, at 6:30 pm. Donations for the local food bank would be much appriecatied.
